Lake Washington Partners is the new owner of an empty circa-1990 Seattle office tower, most of which has been occupied by Amazon. The family-owned Bellevue company acquired the 18-story building named for its 1800 Ninth address through a deed in lieu of foreclosure, according to a Sept. 10 real estate excise tax affidavit, which did not list a price.
“I cannot make any comments pertaining to the transaction,” company President Jordan Lott said in a statement. “Nonetheless, Lake Washington Partners has deep roots in the Puget Sound region and is excited to be part of the resurgence of downtown Seattle.”
Commercial real estate industry sources expect Lake Washington Partners to announce plans for the 312,700-square-foot asset in the coming weeks.
