Lake Washington Partners LLC, a family-owned commercial real estate investor and developer based in Puget Sound, has announced its plans to invest $15 million into the renovation of 1800 Ninth Avenue. This landmark office building is located in the heart of Denny Triangle and spans over 321,707 square feet. As part of this project, Lake Washington Partners will also be renaming the building as Axis9.
According to Jordan Lott, President of Lake Washington Partners: “Seattle has always been home to some of the most successful companies in the world. We are now witnessing a resurgence in demand for downtown office spaces and occupancy rates are on an upward trend.” With Amazon’s decision to resume full-time office work and Starbucks following suit with similar plans, Lott believes that other Seattle employers will also follow suit.
The investment by Lake Washington Partners will primarily focus on transforming the amenity suite at Axis9. Currently featuring conference rooms, meeting spaces, a fitness center spanning over 10,o00 square feet, and a high-end retail coffee shop, the renovated amenities aim to cater better to the needs and preferences of tenants in the building. The company is committed to bringing a fresh and modern look to this iconic office tower in Seattle’s bustling Denny Triangle neighborhood. This announcement was made by Connect CRE.
